Scrapbook with eco-friendly supplies. There are several scrapbook companies who offer environmentally-conscious products. Basic Grey is a favorite of mine since they have chosen to use FSC-certified paper and soy-based inks. In addition to greener products, every tree cut down for their paper manufacturing, Basic Grey plants two trees.
Use produce packaging. The diamond-shaped foam mesh on this scrapbook layout was once wrapped around a pear. Since it was flexible, I spread it across the page and secured it with staples. This particular mesh provides interesting texture and adds dimension to my scrapbook layout.
Save party decorations. The little pink feet from my first-born’s baby shower had been sitting in a drawer for over a decade, along with white fabric flower petals. I cut one of the flower petals to form a circle, stamped on it with StazOn ink and put a silver brad through it’s center. I cut small slits into the heel of each foot, added them to the brad and inked the toe edges to create a unique flower embellishment.
